Zep!

For centuries two mighty nations have been battling on the continent of Zahir. The most powerful weapon in their arsenals: Colossal airships! Take control of a fleet of these giants to finally resolve the eternal struggle.
The second game in the crowdsourcing series
Little´N´Nice by Spieltrieb is finally available in the Spieleschmiede.
Zep! is a thrilling,
quick, tactical combat game. Two to four players are controlling a fleet of giant airships meeting in aerial combat. There is no escape. It´s either win or die ...
Zep! - A game ...
... for two to four lovers of tabletop and miniature war games who can manage without minis. What is so special about this game is that Zep! works just like a big tabletop game while using only 9 double-sided cards.
And just like with other miniature war games you are going to use a range template for movements and you need to hit other ships with rockets.
Even though Zep! employs dice for the fighting, it does so in an entirely unusual way, because the D20 die is flicked across the table. If it lands and remains on an opponent´s airship, that ship will receive damage. If a ship touches a rival ship, it can then be boarded and immediately re-employed in battle.
With a short playing time of around 15 to 20 minutes the game is perfectly suited as a warm-up for a games evening.
What are the Little´N´Nice games?
Little´N´Nice is a very special series of games, which can only be supported
exclusively in the Spieleschmiede. Each and every title in the series is reduced to the max: Fun, game mechanics and theme.
Any game of the Little´N´Nice series will contain no more than ten playing cards as gaming material. Everything else that is required to play ?for example pawns, victory point counters or dice ?is normally readily available in any player´s home, or can be chosen as an optional extra here.
The very simple layout of this series of small games allows us to go down a more unusual crowdsourcing route:
Pay what you want! As soon as the minimum amount of support is achieved, the game is going to be manufactured, in conjunction with the other Little´N´Nice games that will be entering the Spieleschmiede in the coming weeks. All games are then placed on a single print sheet. This way production costs can be kept low enough to make the entire project feasible.
What do you get for your money?
The games of the Little´N´Nice series are not your usual Spieleschmiede projects. You can obtain a game
for as little as one Euro, in a print&play version. A fully printed, professionally finished edition of the playing cards is sent out to you as a reward from three Euros and upwards, with only the rules still being in a digital format. However, we recommend you support
the five Euro level. With anything less the amount is so small that it really only covers the actual production and shipping costs, and there is no margin for the publisher and the Spieleschmiede. Once the recommended threshold is crossed, we will also print out the rules for your.
In the optional rewards there is also a pack containing additional gaming material. Especially for Zep! there are two packs of dice containing five differently coloured W6 and one W20 dice. Each player gets one W6 to record the action points for the airships. The W20 is used for attacks and flicked across the table. The dice pack with the W6 can also be employed in another project and in this case does not need to be funded again, whereas the D20 is only used for playing Zep!. The wodden dice-set is also used with this project. With Zep!, the 60 wodden cubes are used for the damage on the airships. You can find the option in the right column.
Additionally, there is an optional box for the material. This customized box is able to hold all games in the Little´N´Nice series and also the additional gaming material for all other games funded during the course of the individual projects. A matching sticker turns the box into a proper game box.
If you support Zep! with at least 30 Euros, you are granted the right to name one of the airships. Acceptable in this case are thematically fitting names, for example first names or names of cities, but not any names of companies or clubs or cryptical nicknames. Spieltrieb has the final say in this matter.
There are also still portrait options available for The Warriors of Well-ish. As the Little´N´Nice games are manufactured in conjunction, it will also help the other games if supporters for these can be found.
Additionally, there is the option to choose from several other games by Spieltrieb, for example the fast-playing
Jets or the clever game of
Eynsteyn, and to support the production of the entire series in this way.
Who is Spieltrieb?
We are
Spieltrieb, a somewhat unusual games publisher. Our small company is home to two game designers
Till Meyer and Nicole Stiehl.
Till is a seasoned games author with a lot of experience, who has worked for many years as a games educator with young pupils and students. During this time games such as
An den Schalthebeln der Macht were developed in close cooperation with entire classes of students.
By Till´s side is
Nicole Stiehl, a qualified social educator and a long-standing game designer herself. Together with Till, Nicole has developed many educational and commercial games and she is also fully involved in all projects of the Little´N´Nice series.
Just like in the first two crowdsourcing projects by Spieltrieb,
Christian Opperer is going to breathe life into the games. With well over a dozen projects and many years of experience under his belt, Christian is one of the most popular German board game illustrators, who has also participated in several Spieleschmiede projects.
Spieleschmiede-Meinung
Spieltrieb is a well-known German publisher, with a lot of experience in the development and production of board games. As early as 2012, Spieltrieb introduced a project to the Spieleschmiede, Bankraub, which was successfully funded at the time.
According to our experience and assessment, the cost calculations for this project are comprehensive and realistic. The game is particularly suitable for casual players and families and we consider an age recommendation of 10 years and upwards as appropriate.
Shipping in spring
Our aim is to ship the games of the Little´N´Nice series in the first quarter of 2015. Spiele-Offensive.de is going to be responsible for dispatching the rewards. Smithies from Germany can obtain everything free of shipping costs. To all other countries these
shipping costswill apply.
Please do not add the shipping costs to the funding amount yourself. Spieleschmiede will finalize them depending on your delivery address and add them automatically.
